The San Francisco Comics Fest is an all-volunteer organization, made up of people who love where comics and comics culture meet the San Francisco Bay Area. The SFCF is open to anyone willing to pitch in their time to help us.

In alphabetical order, the SFCF Steering Committee is:

  • Julie Davis is a designer, editor, an all-around know-it-all about comics, manga and anime.
  • Andrew Farago is curator at San Francisco’s Cartoon Art Museum.
  • Nina Kester is the administrative assistant at the Cartoon Art Museum and a colorist on “PEANUTS” for BOOM! Studios.
  • Vincent Kukua is a production artist for Image Comics, a freelance illustrator and comic book creator.
  • Asher Powell is a digital media specialist and writer.
  • Seth Rosenblatt is a freelance journalist, formerly at CNET, who specializes in writing about security, privacy, and technology.
  • Matt Silady is the Chair of the MFA in Comics program at California College of the Arts.
  • Leef Smith owns Mission: Comics and Art, a San Francisco comic book store and art gallery.
  • Ashlee Vaughn manages marketing at Viz Media and thinks her child-self is super jealous right now that she is getting paid to work in comics.
